FONTE TERMALE GARBARINO
Garbarino thermal water is “water with a low mineral content”.
It is classified as lightly mineralised with a fixed residue of 116 mg/litre but, thanks to its specific physical-chemical formula, it also has other effects that make it suitable for a variety of applications both for external use and for inhalation.
It has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and sedative action with a radon-rich component.
In mineral water therapy, it has diuretic and purifying effects, as well as an anti-inflammatory action and a more marked effect of elimination of uric acid in the treatment of hyperuricaemia and chronic gout.
Its analgesic and sedative action on the central and peripheral nervous system makes it particularly suitable for the treatment of osteo-arthrosis and numerous chronic bone, joint and muscle diseases using thermal mud-balneotherapy.
Its short-term therapeutic effects include decrease in pain, increase in joint excursion, while its medium and long term effects include a reduction in the number and intensity of exacerbations and reduced use of anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication. Balneotherapy is prescribed for dermatological problems such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, with a reduction of itching and a decrease in the size of lesions.
Through inhalation it acts to stimulate the non-specific immune defences of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract that, associated with humidification and with the mucolytic effect on secretions, is able to treat various chronic disorders of the respiratory tract (rhino-sinusitis, pharyngo-tonsillitis, bronchitis) and of the middle ear (catarrhal otitis, tubotympanitis), preventing bothersome exacerbations during the winter months and decreasing the use of antibiotics.
FONTE TERMALE SANTA BARBARA
FONTE TERMALE SANTA BARBARA has a fixed residue of 36 mg per litre and is therefore classified as water with a very low mineral content. Its chemical-physical properties are the reason for its extreme lightness and excellent tolerability when administered as a beverage (mineral water therapy). The hypotonic nature of Santa Barbara thermal water, when taken following strict instructions, can have a marked diuretic and purifying effect, exploited for medical purposes to treat (uric acid and calcium oxalate) kidney stones, aiding their progression and expulsion, to prevent relapses, to expel fragments after lithotripsy and to prevent recurrent cystitis.
